Welcome to Kaatje&Mup! We invite you to discover the world of Kaatje&Mup, where adventure, creativity and family fun come together to inspire both young and old. With the launch of our new website, we want to give you a unique insight into the world of Kaatje and Mup. At Kaatje&Mup, experiencing adventurous stories in nature is central and we strive to create beautiful products, moments and memories that bring families closer together.

Meet Kaatje, Mup and Jeetje

Our stories revolve around the cheerful and enterprising Kaatje, her faithful dog Mup, and their tough friend Jeetje. Together they experience the most beautiful adventures on the beach and in nature. Kaatje, always curious and full of energy, loves the sea and the dunes. Mup is her playful companion, always ready for a new adventure. And Jeetje, with his tough jeep and extensive knowledge of the sea, makes every outing even more special.

The inspiration behind Kaatje&Mup

Kaatje&Mup is more than just a brand; it is a reflection of my personal journey. My faithful Jack Russell, Joy, was the inspiration behind Mup. Her adventurous spirit and unconditional love helped me get through tough times and formed the basis for the countless drawings and stories of Kaatje&Mup. Despite her recent passing, her spirit lives on in every drawing, story and activity we create.

From Terschelling to Friesland

On Terschelling we organized Kaatje&Mup Shows and Craft Cafés with great passion and pleasure and sold our own Kaatje&Mup assortment. It was a wonderful time with many loyal visitors. Due to the corona pandemic, our activities came to an abrupt end and I made the difficult decision to return to the mainland.

After a period of intensive preparation, we are now ready for a fresh start in Friesland. With renewed energy and exciting plans, we are on the eve of a wonderful comeback. Our first step is the launch of our new website and after the summer holidays our webshop will follow. In addition, we will (from May holiday 2025) organize our interactive children's shows and pop-up craft cafés again. We are determined to continue to inspire children and their parents with adventurous stories, creative activities and our unique Kaatje&Mup products.

Discover our webshop after the summer holidays

Our new webshop will be online after the summer holidays and will offer a wide range of Kaatje&Mup products. From wall art and clothing to DIY packages. You will find everything to take a piece of adventure, nature experience and creativity from Kaatje&Mup home with you. Each product is designed with care and love, perfect to give as a gift or to enjoy yourself. The range we are going to launch is just the beginning; keep an eye on our webshop and social media for future new Kaatje&Mup products.

Interactive performances and creative craft cafés

At Kaatje&Mup, everything revolves around adventurous and creative experiences. During our performances, we actively involve the children and take them on an interactive adventure. From discovering treasures on the beach to dancing with beach animals, there is always something new and exciting to experience. Our craft cafés offer a place where children and adults can be creative together, whether it is making sand candles or creating pixel art.

After the summer, support our comeback with crowdfunding via voordekunst

In order to continue our activities, we need your help after the summer. Behind the scenes, we are busy preparing a crowdfunding campaign via voordekunst to make the necessary investments to organize our performances and craft cafés again. With your support, we can renovate our puppet theater and puppets, purchase a multifunctional trailer, promotional material and more. Every contribution helps us to bring Kaatje&Mup back to life and inspire a new generation.
