On Terschelling, in addition to creativity, I also found the peace I was looking for, which gave me the confidence to embrace the entrepreneur in me again. Kaatje&Mup grew from a creative outlet to a business adventure, where I came to appreciate the invaluable value of following your heart and staying true to yourself. Personal trials and moments of isolation transformed into a business that enriched both myself and others. Kaatje&Mup on Terschelling developed into more than a project; it became a means to come into real contact with others far away from the digital world. My experiences with Kaatje&Mup and my time on Terschelling have taught me that entrepreneurship goes beyond commercial success; it is about the ability to inspire and connect and about the power of creating beautiful memories and experiencing adventures together.
From Terschelling to the mainland

During the corona pandemic I decided to move our adventures from Terschelling to the mainland. Although saying goodbye to Terschelling was difficult, I embraced this change as an opportunity for growth and new possibilities. With encouragement from my job coach I set a new course for a comeback.

Behind the scenes we have been working hard to prepare for the comeback of Kaatje&Mup. Now I am proud of where we are and I am excited to continue our adventures with Kaatje&Mup. With inspiration from my own life and that of my loyal companions, I invite everyone to leave the daily grind behind and dive into a world of adventure, connection and fun.

With his knowledge and experience in the field of graphics, Timo plays an important role in bringing the hundreds of drawings about the adventures of Kaatje&Mup to life. With this he makes a major contribution to the success of our comeback.
